The New Republic Misses the Mark

Bill Hobbs may not be blogging much about Tennessee politics over at BillHobbs.com anymore, but he’s still out there in the blogosphere leaving insightful comments. At PITW, Hobbs notes how little Clay Risen of the New Republic understands Tennessee politics if he thinks Van Hilleary lost the ‘02 gubernatorial race to Phil Bredesen because of his “immoderation.” Hobbs writes:
That the New Republic would write an article saying Ford could win is no surprise - it’s a left-wing magazine and the story caters to its readers’ biases. The NR simply is not going to write a “Ford Can’t Win” story.
