Ummm, hold on a sec. Did he just say that he was a Christian but doesn’t want to use the Bible in the argument for a ban a gay marriage?
Anyway, without the Bible we can’t argue against gay marriage. This country was founded on Christian beliefs and people in the country can decide what rules are appropriate. I for instance do not believe in abortion, yet it is legal and I have to deal with that. Gay marriage came up in many state elections and many states voted to ban gay marriage, including TN.
We don’t always get what we want if the majority doesn’t agree with it. That is what makes our country great and frustrating at the same time.
